rlm@0: A/N- Thanks for reading - Black Rose. rlm@0: rlm@0: Ra's Daughters rlm@0: By rlm@0: Black Rose rlm@0: rlm@0: Chapter Six rlm@0: Ra's Pet Dragon rlm@0: rlm@0: The Phoenix flew very quickly down the hall, its eyes glowing redder rlm@0: and get redder as it went. The flames its wings began to increase in rlm@0: size and flare out on either side of it. Layla felt something rlm@0: powerful coming her way, closer and closer with every passing second; rlm@0: she knew she should have been terrified, but whatever it was couldn't rlm@0: be worse than the memories she was seeing, could it? The flashes of rlm@0: her mother stopped and Layla slumped forward, gasping for breath as rlm@0: though she had been saved from drowning. Anubis' Priest saw a glow rlm@0: golden flame coming down the hall and narrowed his eyes. rlm@0: "Well, it looks like time's up" he thought as he tried to walk to rlm@0: the side door, but found that he couldn't move. The Phoenix dove into rlm@0: the room, landed behind Layla and put its flaming wings around her to rlm@0: shield her. Layla felt so safe and warm that she fell asleep, all rlm@0: worries banished from her mind. The bird didn't take her eyes off the rlm@0: priest: it so wanted to attack him, but it had to make sure that the rlm@0: human was alright until other humans came… then he was going to feel rlm@0: what Hell's fire really was. The Phoenix began once more to sing, but rlm@0: this time it was a scream of pure rage and hatred, so loud that the rlm@0: very palace itself began to shake. The Priest fell to the floor with rlm@0: his hands to his ears so as to somewhat block out the infernal noise. rlm@0: "I believe that I have made it mad, will this should be fun," he rlm@0: smirked, got back on his feet and began to concentrate: quite rlm@0: suddenly his eyes turned black. rlm@0: "So Ra sends his only pet to stop me; I'm not scared of you, so rlm@0: let's play!" he yelled at it and laughed evilly. rlm@0: The phoenix knew that he was up to something, but couldn't tell rlm@0: what. She could hear someone enter from the left and then more from rlm@0: the right. She saw the Great Pharaoh to the left: he was standing rlm@0: there looking shocked and a little scared as to what was happening. rlm@0: His eyes showed a different story; it showed power and it had the rlm@0: eyes of a loving father. She then felt the humans behind her. She rlm@0: removed her wings and took off towards Anubis' priest with anger. The rlm@0: priest just saw the pharaoh and the women enter the room. He smirked rlm@0: has Ra's pet came towards him: he let the firebird hit him and they rlm@0: both went through the wall and out into the storm. His body rolled rlm@0: around on the ground like a rag doll. He finally stopped when his rlm@0: body hit one of the columns near the palace. The rain and wind wasn't rlm@0: helping much with this, he noted: he slowly got up and looked around rlm@0: for the damned bird. It was hard to see with this rain coming down rlm@0: like it was, and the wind was trying to push him around. He finally rlm@0: saw it and it was coming right at him. He could steam where the rain rlm@0: had hit the Phoenix's flaming wings. rlm@0: "Well, it looks like it's going to try to kill me, how quaint; it rlm@0: will never truly be able to do that, but oh well, it seems that I rlm@0: must kill it instead. I knew that I can't really kill you, my dear rlm@0: Phoenix, but we're in darkness and that is my element." He thought as rlm@0: he moved into the shadow of the columns and made his eyes glow black rlm@0: again: then he disappeared into the shadows themselves. He moved very rlm@0: fast in the shadows and got right beside the bird. He just smiled rlm@0: evilly as a sword appeared in his hand and attacked the Phoenix. rlm@0: As the phoenix saw him disappear, she thought about where would he rlm@0: attack. Then she saw something moving in the shadows. rlm@0: It was the High Priest; he was moving throughout the shadows in such rlm@0: a way that she could have sworn he had become a part of them: still rlm@0: she didn't have much time to think about that as he attacked. She rlm@0: moved out of the way just before the sword hit her side. Golden rlm@0: feathers shot from her left wing at him as she rolled to her side, rlm@0: then he moved back into the shadow and disappeared. rlm@0: The priest looked around and saw the feathers that came out of the rlm@0: bird burst into flames. rlm@0: "Well I didn't see that one coming, I believe it's time to disappear rlm@0: for now, I can't win with the weather like this - it slows me down to rlm@0: much. I will have other chance soon enough," he thought. He stepped rlm@0: out into the open and saw the young women and the Pharaoh, who was rlm@0: holding his wife. They were looking out into the rain watching what rlm@0: had happened between himself and the phoenix. rlm@0: "Well, it looks like I can take care of one problems before I go" he rlm@0: thought evilly, then he moved as fast as he could through the rain, rlm@0: trying to keep from be seen by Ra's little toy. rlm@0: As the Pharaoh held this wife, his mind went back to what had rlm@0: happened before all of this. rlm@0: rlm@0: (Flashback) rlm@0: The Pharaoh entered the room to see a fire-like bird shielding rlm@0: something with its wings then he looked behind the animal and saw rlm@0: this wife, daughter, and the two young ladies. One looked like she rlm@0: was a priestess - he could tell by the clothes she was wearing - but rlm@0: the other woman, the one with black hair, was wearing a tattered rlm@0: dress that looked very old and worn. As they stopped behind the bird, rlm@0: it opened it wings to reveal one of its wounds, she looked like she rlm@0: was in bad shape. The bird had then taken off and attacked the rlm@0: priest. With the power behind the flying firebird they both went rlm@0: flying through the wall and out into the rain. The priestess walked rlm@0: over to the young girl on the floor to see if she was alright. She rlm@0: picked up her and as they left he saw his daughter holding on to the rlm@0: other woman with black hair. His wife was just standing there with a rlm@0: worried look on her face. He walked over to them. rlm@0: "I believe, my wife, that you have some things to tell me," he said: rlm@0: it was not so much a question as a statement. rlm@0: His wife just nodded and told her everything that she thought was rlm@0: important. He believed what she told him; why would she lie? He then rlm@0: looked over to his daughter and smiled at her. He walked over to the rlm@0: hall with his wife to see what was going on. His daughter and friend rlm@0: were close by and were still holding one another. rlm@0: ((End Flashback) rlm@0: rlm@0: The Priest moved up to the Queen and Pharaoh with his sword ready to rlm@0: attack. The Pharaoh just saw the man run right at him; he knew what rlm@0: was happening, so he pushed his wife to the side, and took the hit rlm@0: hard. The sword went through his heart like a knife through butter. rlm@0: Lightning hit the ground as his body fell, never to get back up rlm@0: again. The three women just looked on with shock. Neith saw her rlm@0: husband mouth 'I love you' before he died. She slowly crept over to rlm@0: him and closed his eyes. She looked over to her one and only daughter rlm@0: and started to cry. rlm@0: Ramla saw her father fall and her mother crying. She looked up to rlm@0: Nakia and saw a glowing like she never saw before. The feeling coming rlm@0: from her friend was a deep sadness. She just held her with all the rlm@0: power that she had. Nakia saw it again and again and knew that no rlm@0: matter what pain she felt she knew that, for Ramla it must have been rlm@0: a thousand times worse. rlm@0: Her thoughts kept flashing back to that what had just happened rlm@0: before for her and what had happen to her father. It was the same rlm@0: thing, her mother crying over her husband with her little girl rlm@0: looking on. rlm@0: "Ramla, it's happing again, he needs to be stopped now," she told rlm@0: her with a harder and sadness in her voice. She moved away from her rlm@0: and started to walk to the priest, who was just grinning. She then rlm@0: couldn't take it anymore and ran right into him; they both fell over rlm@0: in the sand, which had by then been permeated with water and had rlm@0: begun to turn to mud. The priest looked up to what pushed him over, rlm@0: and saw that it was the black haired girl. He just grinned: he could rlm@0: get rid of her sooner than he had thought. rlm@0: "Well, well, what do we have here? It looks like someone wants die rlm@0: today," he thought. He got up, grabbed his sword and made another one rlm@0: appeared in his other hand. rlm@0: "So you want to play has well? Come on then, my dear," he snarled to rlm@0: her. rlm@0: Nakia slow got up, the rain and wind was now at its peak: the eye of rlm@0: the storm was approaching, that much was obvious. She couldn't stand rlm@0: straight because of the ferocity of the wind. She then felt someone rlm@0: holding onto her. She looked to her side and saw Ramla looking up at rlm@0: her with a smile and nodded. Nakia just nodded back: they both turned rlm@0: to the priest with their eyes flashing white as his glowed black. rlm@0: The thunder roared on in the background, but through the thunder rlm@0: you could hear a song. They looked around trying to find out were it rlm@0: was coming from. Ramla then spotted it: it was the phoenix. She was rlm@0: on top of a nearby column and her red eyes were glowing with such rlm@0: power that it started to scare them both. She was going to kill him: rlm@0: first he killed the pharaoh, and the wanted to kill her human and her rlm@0: human's lover. She spread her wings high into the air and started to rlm@0: grow to a monstrous size until she was about as big as a dragon. The rlm@0: flames coming off her were causing rays of light to break through the rlm@0: clouds all around them. She cried out into the storm then she took rlm@0: off and shot two golden feathers at the priest. rlm@0: He was looking right at the phoenix in shock: he started to shake, rlm@0: then he saw the two feathers coming right at him, and the gigantic rlm@0: bird was right behind them. He flinched away in anticipation of the rlm@0: blow but in never came. The feathers went past him to the two females rlm@0: that were looking on. The bird flew behind them and landed. rlm@0: "What is going on, the power coming from them is so great that it rlm@0: making my head spin," he wondered. rlm@0: Ramla and Nakia watched the phoenix grow and shot something at rlm@0: them. They could feel a power in them and it kept on growing: then rlm@0: the two feathers stopped right in front of them and the gigantic rlm@0: firebird land behind them. The two feathers started to change into rlm@0: two beautiful swords. Both swords had the symbol of Ra on them and a rlm@0: white flower going spiraling all the way down the polished steel rlm@0: blades. rlm@0: Ramla and Nakia closed their eyes and held out heir hands: it was as rlm@0: if the swords were calling to them. The two swords disappeared from rlm@0: where they were floating in the air and then reappeared in their rlm@0: hands. The dragon-like phoenix covered them with its wings. Then a rlm@0: flash of flames came from within the wings: it was so bright that the rlm@0: priest had to shield his eyes, as did Neith. Then it died down and rlm@0: the bird removed its wings: and there stood Ramla and Nakia in rlm@0: Egyptian princess dresses with the symbol of Ra on their foreheads rlm@0: and their eyes glowing eerily white. rlm@0: rlm@0: rlm@0: A/N- I hope everyone like this chapter, the next chapter will be rlm@0: about Ramla and Nakia as they take on the high Priest of Anubis. Oh rlm@0: and if you have time could you review? I would really appreciate it. rlm@0: Thanks-Black Rose
