1 Lost2 by Amazoness Duo3 amazonessduo@hotmail.com5 The light, it cannot reach me here.6 It's rays don't go this far.7 Even they turn back before the darkness devours them.8 Yet I find myself lost here,9 on these cold and desolate plains.10 I don't know where I am nor where I'm going.11 Darkness stretches outwards, an infinite expanse of loneliness,12 blessed only with the solace of teardrops.14 I am alone here,15 Lost where you can never find me.16 I cannot find my way,17 begging each shadow for help.18 But my pleas fall on deaf ears and I must continue forward.19 Alone.21 This well traveled route of agony and despair,22 it knows me well by now.23 Always harkening me back to it's haunting paths and dark mazes.24 I am lost to it,25 unable to escape it's grasp upon me.26 I always pass the same sign,27 always cross the same frozen stream.28 'You are nowhere,'29 the sign states in letters the color of blood.30 And I shiver at the sight,31 but continue forwards into the encompassing darkness.32 "Where am I?" I ask.33 But there is no answer.34 "Who am I?" I plead.35 But silence answers my call.36 "Please save me..." I whimper.37 But no one comes for me.39 So I cry.41 I finally collapse along the winding path,42 my tear soaked dress fluttering around me as the wind picks up.43 I sob bitter tears,44 cursing my lost and lonely path,45 praying for the light to illuminate the darkness.46 But no one heeds my calls.47 And I am left in the shadows to fend for myself.48 To find my path when there is none.49 To save myself from the shadows when I know that I can't.50 So I cry.51 Pounding my fists into the wet dirt of my lonely path,52 I question whether it needs me upon it anymore.53 Perhaps it is time I surrender,54 that I give in to the inevitablity that I will forever be lost.55 That my path will never take me anywhere but through these cold and dark shadows.56 I laugh into the night sky,57 the thunder echoing the madness that plays with my hair.58 If only I give up,59 I will be free.60 I will be free...62 But I cannot give up.63 Not yet, at any right.64 I have much left to tend to.65 I have sights left unseen.66 Perhaps I will never see them.67 But I won't know if I don't try.68 I struggle to my bare feet,69 stumbling forward into the cold woods once more.70 I know that I am lost.71 But I pray that I will be found.
