     1.4 +Lost

     1.7 +
1.8 +The light, it cannot reach me here.
     1.9 +It's rays don't go this far.
1.10 +Even they turn back before the darkness devours them.
    1.11 +Yet I find myself lost here,
1.12 +on these cold and desolate plains.
    1.13 +I don't know where I am nor where I'm going.
1.14 +Darkness stretches outwards, an infinite expanse of loneliness,
1.15 +blessed only with the solace of teardrops.
    1.16 +
    1.17 +I am alone here,
1.18 +Lost where you can never find me.
1.19 +I cannot find my way,
1.20 +begging each shadow for help.
1.21 +But my pleas fall on deaf ears and I must continue forward.
    1.22 +Alone.
    1.23 +
1.24 +This well traveled route of agony and despair,
1.25 +it knows me well by now.
1.26 +Always harkening me back to it's haunting paths and dark mazes.
1.27 +I am lost to it,
1.28 +unable to escape it's grasp upon me.
1.29 +I always pass the same sign,
1.30 +always cross the same frozen stream.
    1.31 +'You are nowhere,'
1.32 +the sign states in letters the color of blood.
    1.33 +And I shiver at the sight,
1.34 +but continue forwards into the encompassing darkness.
    1.35 +"Where am I?" I ask.
1.36 +But there is no answer.
    1.37 +"Who am I?" I plead.
1.38 +But silence answers my call.
    1.39 +"Please save me..." I whimper.
1.40 +But no one comes for me.
    1.41 +
    1.42 +So I cry.
    1.43 +
1.44 +I finally collapse along the winding path,
1.45 +my tear soaked dress fluttering around me as the wind picks up.
    1.46 +I sob bitter tears,
1.47 +cursing my lost and lonely path,
1.48 +praying for the light to illuminate the darkness.
1.49 +But no one heeds my calls.
1.50 +And I am left in the shadows to fend for myself.
1.51 +To find my path when there is none.
1.52 +To save myself from the shadows when I know that I can't.
    1.53 +So I cry.
1.54 +Pounding my fists into the wet dirt of my lonely path,
1.55 +I question whether it needs me upon it anymore.
    1.56 +Perhaps it is time I surrender,
1.57 +that I give in to the inevitablity that I will forever be lost.
1.58 +That my path will never take me anywhere but through these cold and dark shadows.
1.59 +I laugh into the night sky,
1.60 +the thunder echoing the madness that plays with my hair.
    1.61 +If only I give up,
    1.62 +I will be free.
    1.63 +I will be free...
    1.64 +
    1.65 +But I cannot give up.
1.66 +Not yet, at any right.
1.67 +I have much left to tend to.
1.68 +I have sights left unseen.
    1.69 +Perhaps I will never see them.
    1.70 +But I won't know if I don't try.
1.71 +I struggle to my bare feet,
1.72 +stumbling forward into the cold woods once more.
    1.73 +I know that I am lost.
    1.74 +But I pray that I will be found.
