    1.15 +As Nakia and Ramla walked up to Ramla's mother they bowed and smiled
    1.16 +at her.
    1.17 +"Well, this Phoenix showed me everything so I knew what is going
    1.18 +on," she told them with a kind smile.
    1.19 +"What is your name, young lady?" she asked, looking at the black
    1.20 +haired girl who stood next to her daughter. Ramla looked over to her
    1.21 +new friend and saw fear in Nakia's eyes, so she took her friends hand
    1.22 +in her own.
    1.23 +Nakia didn't know what do say, she couldn't tell if she was coming
    1.24 +or going. She then felt someone take her hand and a sudden clam came
    1.25 +over her. She turned her head a little and saw Ramla smiling at her.
    1.26 +Nakia smiled slightly in return and nodded to her, then she looked
    1.27 +back to the Queen and saw her smiling in the same way her daughter
    1.28 +had been.
    1.29 +"My name is Nakia, it's nice to meet you," she said with a little
    1.30 +bow to the Queen.
    1.31 +"It's nice to meet you Nakia, I'm Queen Neith," she said as she
    1.32 +stood up and - to Nakia's surprise - embracing the dark haired girl.
    1.33 +  As Neith let go of Nakia, she whispered in her ear,"Take care of
    1.34 +her, she'll need you, and from what it looks you need her too." 
    1.35 +As the Queen laughed slightly when she saw how red the girl's pale
    1.36 +face had become. The Queen walked over to her daughter and hugged her
    1.37 +as well: then whispered,  "Ramla, no madder what your father says,
    1.38 +she needs to stay here with you; take care of her." She smiled at the
    1.39 +two and walked back into the room, where she stopped and called back
    1.40 +to them: "Oh, don't let your father or the dratted priest see you two
    1.41 +holding hands, even if I don't mind."
    1.42 +Ramla and Nakia looked at one another, then at their hands, and then
    1.43 +back to each other. They let go of each other's hand and started to
    1.44 +blush again. Sanura watched them, and smiled slightly.
    1.45 +"Very nice Ra, very nice, I can't wait to see we're your going with
    1.46 +this," she thought. "Come on you two, it looks like the rains going
    1.47 +too started again," Sanura told them while walking into the room.
    1.48 +Ramla and Nakia nodded, walked in and saw Neith sitting down on a
    1.49 +chair petting the Phoenix.
    1.50 +Sanura walked up to her Queen and bowed to her.
    1.51 +"I'm sorry my Queen I forgot to intruduce myself: I am Sanura, a
    1.52 +priestess of Goddess Selkhet."
    1.53 +Her Queen smiled and nodded. She looked over to her daughter and
    1.54 +Nakia, who had just come in. They walked over to the other chairs and
    1.55 +sat down, while Sanura walked over to the bed and sat down on it.
    1.56 +"Layla, could you bring some water and food for my daughter's
    1.57 +friend?" she asked the queen to someone out side the other door way.
    1.58 +A young woman in her teens walked in. She had on a nice looking
    1.59 +dress, and had purple hair pulled back in a bun, though strands still
    1.60 +flew loose around her face. She walked over to her queen and bowed,
    1.61 +and then looked around the room. When she saw Sanura, her heart
    1.62 +jumped.
    1.63 +Sanura felt someone watching; she turned and saw the young woman the
    1.64 +queen had called for looking at her.
    1.65 +"Is there something wrong?" Sanura asked looking back with a smile.
    1.66 +Layla blushed, shook her head and left to get food and water for them.
    1.67 +The rain out side started to come down hard. The wind was picking
    1.68 +up. Sanura walked over to the windows in the room and closed them.
    1.69 +She turned around and saw that everyone else wore glazed expressions
    1.70 +on their faces as they sat still and deep in thought.  She then
    1.71 +walked back to her seat and waited, though what she was waiting for
    1.72 +she did not know.

    1.74 +While Layla was walking to kitchen, her mind kept going to back to
    1.75 +the priestess.
    1.76 +"Why is my heart beating so hard? What is going on with me?" she
    1.77 +spoke to thin air, wondering if anyone would answer: of course no
    1.78 +answer came, so Layla was left wondering and slightly scared.
    1.79 + She walked very slowly into the kitchen. Her head was spinning: she
    1.80 +was about to fall but someone caught her before she hit the ground.
    1.81 +She turned her head to see the High Priest of the god Anubis. He
    1.82 +smiled maliciously at her and thrust her away from him as though she
    1.83 +was a poisonous spider or something else that may have contaminated
    1.84 +him.
    1.85 +"Well, what do we have here, a little slave all by her self," he
    1.86 +hissed in a venom-laced voice. Layla felt a pang of horror in her
    1.87 +chest as she saw his eyes turn black as obsidian and start to glow.
    1.88 +Flashes of her mother being beaten by the same man in front of her
    1.89 +swam through her mind. Layla saw her mother give her life for her
    1.90 +when he had tried to kill her; she was about four years old at the
    1.91 +time. Layla fell to the floor, clutching her head and trying
    1.92 +desparately to get the images out of her mind.
    1.93 +"Stop it! Please stop it! Make it stop!" she pleaded to him, tears
    1.94 +running down her face.  He just smiled evilly at her and kicked her
    1.95 +over to the door. She lay there, holiding her brusided side and
    1.96 +crying freely now.
    1.97 +"I'll make it stop when you put this poison in the princess' new
    1.98 +friend's water," came the reply. 
    1.99 +Layla wanted this flash to stop, but something in back of her head
   1.100 +told her to hold on; help was on the way. She screamed as she saw her
   1.101 +mother laying dead, her eyes lifeless, her corspe soaked in her own
   1.102 +blood.
   1.103 +The Priest was just enjoying the show as he put more images in to
   1.104 +Layla mind. What he didn't know was that a beautiful woman was
   1.105 +watching the whole thing in the rain. Of course no one would have
   1.106 +noticed her; it was as though she was part of the rain; you couldn't
   1.107 +tell if she was there or not. Her eyes started to flash redder and
   1.108 +redder until they had attained the hue of garnets. She had seen all
   1.109 +she needed to: she disappeared.

   1.111 +She appeared in Ra's Throne room and saw her husband sitting on his
   1.112 +throne with his eyes closed. She knew that his plan was already in
   1.113 +motion, but what she had seen told her that she needed to stop it,
   1.114 +regardles of her husband's wishes. 
   1.115 +"Anubis!" she yelled, walked over to her throne, and sat down. Ra
   1.116 +opened his eyes to see a very angry wife sitting next him. He knew
   1.117 +what had happened and had already sent a message to his phoenix.
   1.118 +Things were moving faster then he hoped, but nevertheless he was
   1.119 +confident that his plan would work.
   1.120 +The Great door opened and in walked the god Anubis. He bowed to them
   1.121 +and waited to to hear why he had been summoned. 
   1.122 +"Anubis, could you tell me why your High Priest is trying to kill
   1.123 +Nakia?" asked Selket with anger in her voice. Ra didn't say a thing:
   1.124 +he just waited to what his son said.
   1.125 +"I have just seen what was happening, and was about to do something
   1.126 +about it," came the swift reply. "But, you must have known that he
   1.127 +has been doing this for years now, and I can't see why you would stop
   1.128 +him now of all times, because of one pathetic human."
   1.129 +Selket's eyes flashed red. "Anubis, be careful what you say, I love
   1.130 +all of my daughters, and will care for them always; what your Priest
   1.131 +did to that girl's mother was wrong: so I blanked out the memory from
   1.132 +her mind so that she would never have to feel that again, and then
   1.133 +your damn Priest revived it and subjected that poor girl to pain you
   1.134 +could probably never imagine."
   1.135 +"Forgive me for saying this, Selket, but out of the entire human
   1.136 +woman in the world you seem to be fondest of these three," Anubid
   1.137 +said, and with a wave of his hand had summoned images of Nakia,
   1.138 +Sanura, and Layla into the air around the them.
   1.139 +"I don't see the differences of the ones I'm fond of?" he asked.
   1.140 +Selket knew he was right, even her husband had humans to protect
   1.141 +above all others, and that was Ramla and her mother, Neith.
   1.142 + Ra watches them and had a hidden smile; he knew his plan would
   1.143 +work. What his wife and son didn't know was that there was more to
   1.144 +Nakia and Ramla then meets the eye. Once their feelings for each
   1.145 +other hit its maximum point, not even Anubis Priest could stop them.
   1.146 +He loved all of his people and will not have any evil run around his
   1.147 +world, causing peace to fall into utter chaos. 
   1.148 +"Anubis, think about what you're doing, and dear wife, Anubis is
   1.149 +right; we gods and goddess have certain humans that we are most fond
   1.150 +of," he told them
   1.151 +"Anubis that is all, you may go, and thank you" Ra told him and
   1.152 +waved his hand.
   1.153 +Anubis bowed to them, and then returned to his own halls. He closed
   1.154 +the door behind him then his parents began, once again, to speak.
   1.155 +"Ra, I wont let that Priest kill her or any human woman," she told
   1.156 +her husband.
   1.157 +Ra smiled at his wife, and kissed her on the lips.
   1.158 +"Don't worry my dear Selkhet, I always have a back up plan: I have
   1.159 +sent a message to my pet, and I believe that you might soon see
   1.160 +something really... what is the word the humans use, oh yes, cool."
   1.161 +He told her with a little laugh. Selket just held on to him and knew
   1.162 +he would help; he always had a big heart.

   1.164 +In Ramla's quarters the four women sat there waiting for Layla. No
   1.165 +conversation passed between them, as all were still deep within their
   1.166 +own thoughts. Ramla was trying to find something say to Nakia.
   1.167 +"Why, why do I just wanted her to hold me, and never let go, what
   1.168 +can I say do show that . . . Ra help please what do I do?"  She kept
   1.169 +looking over to her black haired friend, who was looking out the
   1.170 +window.
   1.171 +Nakia was also in deep thought as she looked out the window at
   1.172 +nothing in particular.
   1.173 +"I have felt this feeling before, but it's a little different.
   1.174 +Goddess, I know you're watching me, could you please show me a sign
   1.175 +that will help me understand this feeling, and why it's coming from
   1.176 +Ramla every time?" She turned her head little to see Ramla looking at
   1.177 +her. Her mouth kept opening and close like she wanted to say
   1.178 +something. Nakia started to giggle.
   1.179 +"Ramla is there something on your mind, because if you keep opening
   1.180 +and close you mouth you might catch a fly."
   1.181 + Ramla blush at be caught doing that, and smiled at her friend. 
   1.182 +"I was trying think of something to talk about, that's all," she
   1.183 +replied.
   1.184 +"Why don't you tell me about things you like to do, and I will do
   1.185 +the same," Nakia replied. As the two young girls talked about things,
   1.186 +Neith watched them and thought.
   1.187 +" My, My, Ra you have out done yourself this time, and the power
   1.188 +coming from them is very great, I just hope they tell each other how
   1.189 +they feel before something bad happens." 
   1.190 +Neith was happy that her one and only daughter was happy and may
   1.191 +have found someone to be with, but was also little sad to let her
   1.192 +daughter go, but she knew it need to happen.
   1.193 +Sanura was watching the door that Layla left out of; she had a
   1.194 +feeling that something wasn't right.
   1.195 +"Something wrong, I just knew it, could it be him." She then heard
   1.196 +someone scream and looked around the room, startled. Ramla and Nakia
   1.197 +were talking, and the queen was watching them: none of them seemed to
   1.198 +have heard the scream.
   1.199 +She looked over to Ra's Phoenix, which had its eyes closed.
   1.200 +The Phoenix in Neith's lap opened it eyes and took off very fast,
   1.201 +screaming its song the whole time. All four women stopped what they
   1.202 +were doing, looked at one anther, and took off to find out what was
   1.203 +going on. As they ran down hall they heared someone screaming: but
   1.204 +whom it was they still had yet to find out.
