     1.8 +I'm leaving now.
1.9 +My bags are packed, my ticket held firmly in hand.
1.10 +My hair flutters about my shoulders as the wind kisses me goodbye,
    1.11 +Her gentle touch a momentary distraction.
    1.12 +Where are you?
1.13 +I thought you would come to see me off.
    1.14 +But I hate long goodbyes.
1.15 +I hate the tears and the pain.
1.16 +I hate missing you so much.
    1.17 +But I won't miss you long.
    1.18 +
1.19 +My bags are packed, I'm ready to go.
1.20 +The time is almost ready.
1.21 +I'm leaving early, you see.
1.22 +They wanted me to stay much longer,
    1.23 +But I really must be going.
1.24 +This place, it holds too much sadness for me.
1.25 +The tears drown me in their numbers.
1.26 +So I'll be off now, as soon as my ride arrives.
1.27 +The flight attendant is a beautiful woman
1.28 +With short black hair and a midnight cloak and a scythe that reflects the moonlight.
1.29 +Her face is white, pale as newly fallen snow.
    1.30 +She beckons me.
    1.31 +My flight has arrived.
1.32 +But still I balk, looking for you.
1.33 +I still want to say goodbye.
1.34 +I'm sorry that I must leave, but I can't stay here any longer.
    1.35 +
1.36 +My eyes scan the deserted area for you, hoping that I'll have one last chance,
1.37 +To kiss away your tears, to collapse into your arms and lose myself forever in their comforting embrace.
1.38 +But you will not come.
1.39 +You do not see me.
1.40 +Inspiration strikes as I dig through my purse, finally settling on a pen and paper.
    1.41 +I will write you a letter.
1.42 +A letter to explain why I had to leave.
1.43 +I will leave it behind for you to read.
1.44 +I quickly jot down my note, the pale cloaked woman gazing over my shoulder.
1.45 +Crimson droplets sprinkle across my letter, a final signature on it's tear soaked surface.
    1.46 +
1.47 +They say that it's always darkest before the dawn.
    1.48 +I'm sorry I couldn't wait till morning.
1.49 +I love you, my darling.
1.50 +But the flight attendent says I have to go.
1.51 +My flight goes a long way up.
1.52 +I'll always be watching over you.
    1.53 +Goodnight, my love.
    1.54 +Sweet dreams.
1.55 +Never say goodbye, because even though I leave, I will never be apart from you.
