1 Disclaimer: Hey! Been a while since I’ve written anything. ^,^; I guess I’ve been lazy. This contains Yuri! Still, I’m back, and contributing to the world of Sakumoyo fluff yet again. I’ve done (to my knowledge) one semi-sad fic, which was a poem, Sakura’s Heart. I guess I just need to be a fluff writer…anyways, enjoy! I’ve had this written for a while, but never got around to typing it up! ~.^ ~~Forever3330~~ ^.~

8 Breathing hard, feet hitting the ground in a steady rhythm, I run. Each step pushes me farther away—not just from the starting point of the race, but away from my reality, my confusion, my naivete—away from everything.

10 I shut my eyes for a split second, everything I know flashing through my mind and falling behind me into the wind.

12 Then, guiltily, I remember it all, pulling it back. I notice another runner pull ahead of me, and I stop, pulling in one breath, and sigh.

14 I’m tired of running. Not just physically—emotionally. I can’t run from myself anymore.

16 Now everyone is ahead of me…But I can’t run anymore. It only serves me as an escape.

18 I turn, and walk off the track into the forest of Sakura. My namesake…

20 Soon enough I hear the cheers as the race finishes. And as I’d expected, she comes.

22 "Sakura-chan…" She says, concerned. I turn to face her, to look deep into those stormy blue eyes.

23

24 "Tomoyo-chan…"
rlm@2
25
rlm@2
26 "What’s wrong?" That beautiful voice flows out, directed at me once more.

28 "I…" A sigh escapes my lips as a knot forms in myself. I cute through it, determined to say the words, to stop this endless race I play in, trying to outrun myself. "I’m tired of running Tomoyo."

30 She looks confused. "What do you mean, Sakura-chan?"
rlm@2
31
rlm@2
32 A sad smile is mine to share, so much like hers, I’m sure. "I love you."
rlm@2
33
rlm@2
34 "I know." Her voice is barely above a whisper.
rlm@2
35
rlm@2
36 My eyes lock on hers. "Then why…?"
rlm@2
37
rlm@2
38 Another sad smile, now hers. "You had to accept whatever choice would make you happy."
rlm@2
39
rlm@2
40 "Then what about you?" My face, I know, is like a book to her, wide open to read.
rlm@2
41
rlm@2
42 "Your happiness is the most important thing to me. Even if it killed me I would show you a smile. But you…you chose me. Why?"
rlm@2
43
rlm@2
44 "I love you." I repeat. "You are my ‘special person’. And I’m tired of running from it. Aishiteru."
rlm@2
45
rlm@2
46 "Aishiteru." We’re both crying now.
rlm@2
47
rlm@2
48 And now I won’t run.
